Lexington County Sheriff’s Department investigators want the public’s help as they investigate an armed robbery at a Lexington County hotel.

According to detectives, two masked black males went into the Red Roof Inn on Berryhill Road at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 14 and robbed two desk clerks at gunpoint.

“Surveillance video shows the suspects armed with silver semiautomatic handguns,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “We’ve gotten word of a white work van similar to a Ford Transit leaving the area right after the robbery. It might be associated with this case.”

Both suspects were wearing clothing items similar to those worn by suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Quality Inn on Piney Grove Road on Oct. 6.

Anyone with information about these suspects or either hotel robbery should call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at 803-785-8230. Anonymous tips can be submitted online at
