LCSD

Since 1999, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has voluntarily participated in the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation program. CALEA has transitioned from receiving in-person public feedback to a web-based public comment portal as part of the accreditation process. Access to the portal allows the public to submit comments or commendations regarding the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s quality of service and other information relevant to the accreditation process. This information is used to improve our service delivery and ensure we provide our community with the best practices in public safety.

You can access the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department public portal at the link: http://cimrs2.calea.org/685. The link can also be found by searching for the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on the CALEA portal website at: https://cimrs2.calea.org/.

IMPORTANT: CALEA is not an investigatory body; subsequently, the public portal should not be used to submit information for such purposes. Additionally, there will be no response other than acknowledgment of submissions; however, the information will be considered in context to its relevancy to compliance with standards and the tenets of CALEA® Accreditation.
