Detectives with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department hope the public can help them with leads in an armed robbery case.

About 10 p.m. on Oct. 6, three masked black males went into the Quality Inn on Piney Grove Road and robbed the clerk of $540. The hotel’s security system captured images of the suspects as they stood outside the hotel’s entrance and reached over the front desk.

One of the suspects is 5’6 to 5’8 and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He was wearing a black pull over sweatshirt with a white logo, dark pants, black shoes, and a black beanie style cap with a gray flame pattern. A blue bandanna covered his face.

The second suspect was 5’6 to 5’8 and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He was wearing a red pull over jacket with a red a white logo, gray pants, white and black tennis shoes, and a gray beanie style cap. He also had a blue bandanna over his face.

The third suspect is approximately 6’ and weighs approximately 200 lbs. He was wearing black coveralls, a black beanie style cap, white Air Jordans. He was also wearing a blue bandanna over his face.

Investigators say the suspects were wearing gloves and used a sawed-off shotgun and a silver semiautomatic handgun during the robbery. They left the hotel on foot and were tracked by K-9 police dogs before their trail went cold in a wooded area off Fernandina Road.
