Thanks in large part to a strong response from the public, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department investigators have identified and charged one of the individuals connected with a credit card fraud case.
Xanthe Amanda Smith, 28, is facing multiple charges of financial fraud.
According to arrest warrants, Smith has been charged with four counts of financial transaction card fraud, four counts of financial identity fraud and 1 count of financial transaction card theft.
Arrest warrants have also been served in this case against Amanda Hope Somogyi, 44, of Gaston. She’s facing six counts of financial transaction card fraud, six counts of financial identity fraud and three counts of financial transaction card theft.
The case is still under investigation and additional charges are pending.
