LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon is pleased to announce the following promotions and transfers.

Marlo McCann has been promoted to Lieutenant of Major Crimes. McCann, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a Sergeant. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in December 2005.
Billy Hutson has been promoted to Lieutenant in the Lexington County Detention Center. Hutson, a resident of Batesburg, previously served as a Sergeant. He was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in September 2009.
Doug Novak has been promoted to Lieutenant of West Region. Novak, a resident of Lexington, previously served as the Sergeant over Evidence. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in December 1998.
Lieutenant Luis Rivera has been transferred to Watch Commander. Rivera, a resident of West Columbia, previously served as the Lieutenant of West Region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in August 2002.
Jamie Johnson has been promoted to Sergeant of Forensics. Johnson, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a Crime Scene Investigator. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in September 2017.
Brian Travis has been promoted to Sergeant in the Professional Standards Division. Travis, a resident of Columbia, previously served as Investigator of the Intelligence Unit. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in May 2007.
Michael Smith has been promoted to Master Deputy in the K-9 unit. Smith, a resident of West Columbia, previously served as a deputy in the K-9 unit. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in December 2016.
Jason Spears has been promoted to Master Deputy in the Traffic Division. Spears, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a Traffic Deputy. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in July 2013.
Latanya Pough has been promoted to Master Correctional Officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Pough, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a correctional officer. She was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in July 2015.
Deloris Gethers has been promoted to Master Correctional Officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Gethers, a resident of Orangeburg, previously served as a correctional officer. She was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in June 2006.
Monsurat Lawal-Agoro has been promoted to Field Training Officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Lawal-Agoro, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a correctional officer. She was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in November 2017.
James Murphy has been promoted to Field Training Officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Murphy, a resident of Irmo, previously served as a correctional officer. He was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in December 2017.
Jakari Kinloch has been promoted to Field Training Officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Kinloch, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a correctional officer. She was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in October 2016.
Ray Chandler has been promoted to Investigator in the Sex Offender Registry Division. Chandler, a resident of Gaston, previously served as deputy. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in June 1994.
Torrell Jones has been promoted to Traffic Deputy. Jones, a resident of West Columbia, previously served as a deputy in the North Region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in June 2015.
Gary Hinton has been promoted to Traffic Deputy. Hinton, a resident of Chapin, previously served as a deputy in the North Region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in August 2018.
Jeremy Dhooghe has been promoted to Traffic Deputy. Dhooghe, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a deputy in the North Region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in May 2018.
James Doubrley has been transferred to Front Desk Specialist in the Lexington County Detention Center. Doubrley, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a Master Correctional Officer. He was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in November 2005.
Christopher Myers has been transferred to Records Technician in the Lexington County Detention Center. Myers, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a correctional officer. He was appointed to serve as a detention deputy sheriff in December 2012.
Taylor Kitchens has been promoted to School Resource Officer. Kitchens, a resident of Gilbert, previously served as a deputy in the Warrant Division. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in February 2018.
Justin Pifer has been promoted to School Resource Officer. Pifer, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a deputy in the North Region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in April 2018.
Elizabeth Church has been transferred to Court Security. Church, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a School Resource Officer. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in May 2015.
