Sheriff Jay Koon recently announced these promotions and transfers.

Pablo Carvajal has been promoted to investigator. Carvajal, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a deputy in the department’s south region, which is based near Pelion. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in September 2014.

Arcadeus Dubard has been transferred to investigator. Dubard, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a master deputy in the department’s west region, which is based near Gilbert. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in June 2015.

Travis Felder has been promoted to lieutenant in the Lexington County Detention Center. Felder, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a corrections sergeant. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2008.

James Forgione has been promoted to Irmo resident deputy. Forgione, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a deputy in the department’s north region, which is based near Irmo. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2016.

Ryan Hoover has been transferred to K-9 handler. Hoover, a resident of Pelion, previously served as Pelion resident deputy. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in September 2014.

James Kemfort has been promoted to field training officer in patrol. Kemfort, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a deputy in the department’s west region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in November 2006.

Frank McFalls has been transferred to Swansea resident deputy. McFalls, a resident of Lexington, previously served as school resource officer. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in November 2014.

Ben Strock has been promoted to patrol sergeant. Strock, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a school resource officer. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in April 2015.

Travis Truesdale has been promoted to master correctional officer. Truesdale, a resident of Elgin, previously served as a correctional officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in July 2010.

Bradley Wilke has been promoted to field training officer in patrol. Wilke, a resident of Aiken, previously served as a deputy in the department’s north region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in March 2017.

Bobby York has been promoted to corrections sergeant. York, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a correctional officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in December 2008.
