
This is an eight-week class that meets during the week designed to give you an inside look at the goals and objectives of the sheriff’s department. You’ll hear from many different unit, get hands-on experience and go on a ride-along, if you choose. We have a limited number of seats for each session, so applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Any application that comes in after the seats have been filled will be placed on a waitlist for the next class.
This program is designed to acquaint the residents of Lexington County with the goals, objectives, organizational structure and general operating procedures of the Sheriff’s Department and to promote good will, mutual understanding and community support. Conducted periodically, the program consists of eight sessions, with a total of 27 hours of training.
