We’re excited to get things rolling once again after taking a year off.

This Saturday, August 28, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation is hosting the 8th Annual Jailbreak Escape Urban Challenge Run. The run is designed to challenge participants of all ages and fitness levels while supporting professional law enforcement services in Lexington County.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization with the mission of improving the quality of life for the citizens of Lexington County and preserving the professional standards and safety of the employees of the Sheriff’s Department through active citizen involvement.

Teams of two will take on obstacles and CrossFit-style exercises throughout a 3.1-mile professionally-timed race course. This year will be the first time a kids’ run will be offered! Bring the kids out to escape a 2-mile obstacle course.

The event starts at 8:00 a.m. with packet pick-up and walk-up registrations beginning at 6:00 a.m. the day of the event. Two-person teams can register for $70 or $40 individually. The race kicks off at the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s headquarters on Gibson Road in Lexington.

Register online at RunHard.org.

Hope to see you and your family for a fun-filled morning!
