LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County narcotics agents have arrested a man on drug charges after following up on a community tip.

Marcus Juri Lykes, 43, is charged with trafficking crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to arrest warrants.

“Deputies responded to the 100 block of Myrtle Wise Road in Swansea this month after receiving tips about the use and sale of drugs at Lykes’ home,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Lykes allowed agents to enter his house and talked with them about the drugs he said he had in the home. That prompted them to get a warrant to search the house.”

Investigators seized crack, cocaine, marijuana, Ecstasy pills, drug paraphernalia and more than $700 cash, according to Koon.

Lykes was arrested at the home and transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.
