LEXINGTON, S.C. – The Lexington County Detention Center’s administrative lieutenant has successfully completed requirements for a national corrections certification.

Lt. Jeremy Vetter earned the Certified Jail Manager designation from the American Jail Association.

“Jeremy is a valued member of the detention center command staff. and I’m proud of his accomplishment,” Koon said. “To become a Certified Jail Manager, Jeremy had to pass an exam to demonstrate his competency in the field of corrections.”

Koon said Vetter, who is one of two Certified Jail Managers at the Lexington County Detention Center, was tested on his expertise in a number of areas such as: inmate management, communications, special populations and support services.

The Certified Jail Manager certification is valid for four years
