LEXINGTON, S.C. – A Columbia man was shot to death while he and his brother, who was also shot, were riding on Edmund Highway late Saturday night.

Harold Lord Peak III, 22, died of multiple gunshot wounds at the scene, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.

“Based on what the victim’s brother told deputies, the brothers were riding on Princeton Road between Ramblin Road and Edmund Highway when they realized they were being shot at,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “The surviving brother, who was driving the car, said he was unsure of what the other vehicle or potential suspects might have looked like.”

The brother who was driving the car was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for a gunshot wound. He is expected to recover, according to Koon.

Koon said anyone with information about potential suspects should contact Crimestoppers or Det. Senn at 803-785-8230.
