LEXINGTON, S.C. – An anonymous community tip led Lexington County deputies to a home in Leesville Wednesday morning where they caught up with a man they had been seeking since Tuesday afternoon.

Cordell Wyman Clark, 26, is charged with resisting arrest and failure to stop for a blue light, according to booking documents at the Lexington County Detention Center.
“The search for Clark, who was already a wanted subject in Aiken County, started with a shooting reported to us on Perry Taylor Road Tuesday afternoon,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “No one was injured or hit in the shooting; however, we are still looking into what happened.”
Koon said deputies searched for Clark Tuesday and Wednesday until they received a tip stating he was at a home on Reedy O. Smith Road.
“As deputies approached the house, Clark ran out the back door,” Koon said. “We brought in a K-9 and our drone team to track him.”
Deputies and assisting SLED agents found Clark in a house in the 500 block of Perry Taylor Road, according to Koon. Clark is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
