LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon is pleased to announce the following promotions and transfers.
Jordan Baez has been promoted to resident deputy in Dixiana. Baez previously worked as a patrol deputy. He has been serving the county since 2022.
Lee Barrett has been promoted to lieutenant over the community action team. Barrett previously worked as a sergeant on the community action team. He has been serving the county since 2001.
Simon Figueroa has transferred to the warrants division. Figueroa previously served as a school resource officer. He has been serving the county since 2023.
James Forgione has been promoted to sergeant in the victims’ assistance division. Forgione previously worked as a victims’ assistance officer. He has been serving the county since 2016.
Corey Hallman has been promoted to an investigator in the property crimes unit. Hallman previously worked as a resident deputy in the Batesburg-Leesville area. He has been serving the county since 2018.
Zach Hawley has been promoted to master deputy in the civil process unit. Hawley previously worked as a deputy in the warrants division. He has been serving the county since 2023.
Al Hentz has been promoted to school resource officer. Hentz previously worked as a deputy. He has been serving the county since 2025.
Bradley Hughes has been promoted to field training officer in the warrants division. Hughes previously worked as a deputy in the warrants division. He has been serving the county since 2016.
Jonathan Jeffcoat has been promoted to sergeant in west region. Jeffcoat previously worked as a property crimes investigator in West Region. He has been serving the county since 2008.
Larry Lacy has been promoted to senior detention deputy – medical unit. Lacy previously worked as field training officer in detention. He has been serving the county since 2022.
James Lanfear has been promoted to master deputy in the training division. Lanfear previously worked as a resident deputy in Chapin. He has been serving the county since 2019.
Brannon Marthers has transferred to sergeant in the Special Operations unit. Marthers previously worked as a sergeant in the intelligence unit. He has been serving the county since 2008.
Landon Nutt has transferred to resident deputy in the Chapin area. Nutt previously worked as a school resource officer. He has been serving the county since 2022.
Christopher Perry has been promoted to master deputy in detention. Perry previously worked as field training officer in detention. He has been serving the county since 2023.
Micaela Pohl has been promoted to resident deputy in Red Bank. Pohl previously worked as a patrol deputy. She has been serving the county since 2023.
James Reed has been promoted to master deputy in detention. Reed previously worked as a detention deputy. He has been serving the county since 2023.
Brittany Sawyer has been promoted to master deputy in detention. Sawyer previously worked as senior detention deputy – transport. She has been serving the county since 2019.
