Deputies arrested Stephen Johnson Craft this morning after he initiated a pursuit following his refusal to stop for blue lights and siren. Craft, 38, got out of his car on Beckman Road and was arrested after a short foot chase. A warrant for his arrest on a charge of grand larceny had been issued earlier this month.

Craft, a Lexington County resident, was driving a car matching the description of the one involved in this morning’s incident with a Lexington Medical Center Department of Public Safety officer. The State Law Enforcement Division continues to investigate that event.

Craft is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center. He’s scheduled to appear in bond court at 521 Gibson Road in Lexington Friday at 10 a.m.
